1963 BSA Royal Star II

This 1963 BSA Royal Star 650 was first sold in England in 1962.  It was fitted with the larger 4.5-gallon fuel tank, common in Britain but rare in the USA.  Imported to Connecticut in 1972, this motorcycle was ridden there until 2014, when it was sold and became part of part of the Gordon and Alice Leishman Collection in Florida.  While obtained in running condition it was stripped down and fully restored to factory fresh condition during 2016-2017.  Nearly all of the original parts were used, except for the bearings, seals, gaskets, etc.  The frame is black powder coated and all of the chrome parts were re-chromed and it was painted in its original “Royal Red” light metallic red color. This BSA Royal Star 650 motorcycle also has its original high compression 9:1 pistons and Campbell performance mufflers, which gave the machine a smooth and powerful pickup as well as a great tone.
