This 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider is chassis no. 915.515 with engine no. S923907. Characterized by historian Griffith Borgeson as a "bridge to post-World War II production" with superior performance achieved by increased compression and triple-carburetion.  It was entered in the 1987 Mille Miglia. One of three earlier-style 8C 2900 bodies commissioned by Corrado Cupellini, this SS Spider was restored in its entirety in 1997.
