The previous owner bought this 1936 Auburn 852 in pieces 30 years ago and put them on shelves in a garage. It was not assembled until purchased by the current owner in 2007 and this is the first time it has been on display in over 30 years.

The Auburn Automotive Company grew out of the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn, IN in 1874 by Charles Eckhart.  Years later the depression coupled with other factors, spelled the end of the company and production ceased in 1937.
